amphipod Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 That reminds me of my grandmother's summer cottage in Finland in Yläne, water is cold in summer even, like 9-20° C at the bottom really cold in some areas I remember the water sometimes was cold enough you got a headache of you put your head in the cold zone. But there were quite a few leeches and ascellus at the bottom, a few freshwater limpets and insects also. The water is very cold but I wouldn't swim during winter it would be freezing how cold?
