ps2cho
Hi guys, My main cord has about a 1ft distance to travel to the nearest electrical socket. I have a puppy and I dont want her to eat it and get electricuted, or shut down my tank while I am away. What are some ideas to cover it up or ensure that she cannot chew it? Link to comment
charnelhouse
Put something else in front of it. Another small cabinet or table maybe. Link to comment

ajmckay
A short length of flexible metal conduit should work, though you would have to make a splice in the cord. Alternatively a plastic spiral cord wrap would probably do it... At least delay breaking through to the cord. Link to comment
ps2cho
I was looking at those plastic spiral wraps you mentioned and found this under the suggestions! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015EDVVU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER I think this might work the best and it will fit flush against the wall too. jservedio
coat with cayenne pepper Doesn't work for every dog. I covered double sided tape with cayenne to keep my beagle puppy from chewing the seam in the carpet at my last place and it worked for 3 seconds, then she went down the entire piece of tape licking up the cayenne pepper... Then again, we tried the lemon thing and she ate that too... Just put something heavy in front of it and when you are home yell at the dog every time it goes near the back of your fish tank and reward it when it goes by the fish tank, but avoids the back. hey
Just run it through the sticky wall conduit stuff used to hide tv cords. Paint it to the color of the wall. Link to comment
