ackattackkk
I think its ich. Ive had the tank since July and have the same 3 fish since then (2 juvenile clows and a flameangel) havent added any others since july. What causes ich and how did it get in my tank? what should I do to my tank to make it safe? pic from my iphone. if you look close the tap half of it is turning white Link to comment
snowflake_clown
I'd recommend running tests to get readings for all the major stuff like ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and salinity. Ich is usually stressed induced, as stress lowers the fishes immune system and makes it an easier target for disease. In my opinion, this is the absolute best immediate thing you can do to begin moving in the right direction. If any of your readings are unusually high, then a large water change every 2 or 3 days can bring those back in line fairly quickly. Then I'd recommend reading through this article and determine the best course of action from there: http://www.liveaquaria.com/PIC/article.cfm?aid=90 Link to comment
Tamberav
Does not look like ich... looks like something is stressing it out or possibly brooklynella. Perhaps some contaminated water got in the tank from new corals/inverts? If it is brook, then there is probably nothing you can do at this point so lets hope not. Link to comment

The other one didnt even look like it was infected unlike the other one. What could cause this? I havent introduced anything into my tank for a few months Link to comment
ackattackkk
If I drain all the water out of my tank will the brooklynella stay on the rocks and inverts? Or will they be safe to add back in? I have a Mr.aqua long 12 gallon not used and was just wondering If I put the rocks and brand new water in there if it would be ok? Link to comment

Fish will also turn pale/blotchy when stressed if something was off in the tank. Link to comment
BeardedReeferLLC
Yeah they had brooklynella. Link to comment
snowflake_clown
I am new to the hobby, and don't have any experience to offer suggestions on how to proceed from here. But I did want to at least post and say I'm sorry you lost your clowns. I wish I could have been more help. I found this link: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/brookynella.html Looks like the parasite requires a host fish, so logic would say if you just leave the tank free of fish for a month or so the parasites should die off.
