Neebles
So I was downstairs checking on my tank and saw what looked like a black hole on one of my rocks. Upon closer inspection it looks to be a black slug type thing, with a flat, black shell. It's probably 1 1/2" long and real flat. It has 2 antennae, and it's pretty dang quick. I will try to post a pic in a bit, but don't know how to from my phone. I'm not sure where this thing came from as I started with dead rock etc...it must have hitchhiked in when it was real small, on a frag.... Anyway, long, black, flat, 2 antennae, black flat shell. Any ideas? Link to comment

Neebles
may be a large stomatella snail. After looking at some pics via Google, it looks a lot like a stomatella snail, but 100% black. Link to comment

basser1
I just noticed one of those in my tank the other day as well. I thought it was some kind of a mutated snail since the shell didn't cover all of it!! Link to comment

clownfitch
Stometella snails small shells get covered by flaps of skin. I have a black one that is about 2" across and has a white shell that's usually covered. Very cool and never bothers anything but algae on the glass. Link to comment
