billybatz9
Hey guys, Should I buy chemi pure elite for my biocube or just go with carbon? I heard the extra stuff you pay for in chemi pure elite, has little to no effect in saltwater tanks. Link to comment
basser1
Go with the new Chemi-Pure Blue....... You won't be disappointed. Link to comment
BulkRate
I'd like to try the CP-Blue as well - unfortunately the compartment in my tank's filter is too small/wrong shape for bagged media. I mix up something that looks pretty similar bullet-point wise (carbon, phosphate binding media and Purigen) but would love to have the "huck a new bag in every month or so & walk away" convenience. My tank water looks polished and has never looked better. Even after a water change. Link to comment
hwk7072
Where would you put this in a sump? (Sorry, just getting into this) Link to comment
reefernanoman
Where would you put this in a sump? (Sorry, just getting into this) Depends on your setup. I don't have a sump( I have an All In One tank), so I put my carbon where all the water from the tank goes through it(which is what is recommended). I put mine in my media basket. I think that some sumps have a place where you can put carbon. Link to comment

hwk7072
I just ordered a double reactor from BRS. Would it make sense to put chemi pure blue in one and carbon in the other? If so, would I treat the chemi pure more like GFO and let it tumble, or like carbon between sponges? Take it out of the bag, right? Link to comment

I mix my rox and GFO and it keeps my phosphates 0.02 with monthly changes in a single reactor. Everything I have found pointed to rox being a superior carbon than chemipure. It certainly has zero dust which I absolutely love. No washing. Link to comment
hwk7072
Good to hear because that's exactly what I ordered. Thanks Link to comment
