Acielot Posted October 25, 2014 Share Posted October 25, 2014 A while ago I sumped my 2 pencil urchins and several hh black urchins. They have all coexisted peacefully for several months until tonight. I checked them to notice one of the black urchins pinned down and being eaten by the larger of the 2 pencil urchin, I've separated them all again and I have the damaged black urchin in the display again. The damage done is some spines missing around the wound as well as a small pencil eraser sized hole in its shell, the urchins body is about as large as a grape. The urchin is still active now and cruising around but is this something that it can recover from? I know they have certain regenerative abilities but I'm not sure it can heal a wound. like that. Does anyone have experience like this with a damaged urchin? Link to comment
