vlangel
Hi, I have a pair of H erectus seahorses that I think may be or probably shortly will be pregnant. I actually ordered 2 female so I wouldn't be in this predictament but alas I was sent a male and a female. I care for my dying mother in law so am not in a position to raise baby seahorses. I have posted free fry on my local reef clubs forum. I think I will ask my lfs also if they would like to give it a go as they have dwarf SH right now and so are already hatching and enriching bb. Can you folks think of any other avenues I could try. I really do not want to humanely dispose of them if there is any other options? Link to comment
vlangel
Good news, a local reefer saw the posting on our local reef club forum and is going to set a tank up to try and raise the fry! Link to comment
Boggers
They are pretty self sufficient right away, If you can keep an adult live the fry are about the same. Glad you found a local to try and raise them. Link to comment

Also they are easier than some of the greater seahorses in that they eat bb immediately as opposed to rotifer or pod larvae. I just don't have time for the daily bb culturing and enriching nor do I have the energy for the multiple daily WCs on the nursery tank. I think I read that they should be fed like 6 Xs a day. I just can't do that right now. Maybe here in the future I will give it a shot. Link to comment
