Algae problem on live rock, how to cure?

Hello fellow reefers!

8 gallon JBJ nanocube.

I've had my tank for about 7-8 months now. Went through a lot of newbie mistakes on the tank, but after research and help from this forum, my tank is starting to become the sea oasis I've imagined in my mind.

But a huge detriment to the look of my tank is algae and/or cyano on the live rock.

I've never done a water test, but I'm bringing some water to my LFS this coming week to check it. I do fairly large water changes and due to additional coral additions and fighting problems of my tank, sometimes 2 changes per week.

I feed my fishes (1 clownfish and 1 damsel) once every other day. I just started using reef roid, 3 doses in the past 2 weeks.

I think a lot of the algae problem came from when I used to feed my fish twice a day and dose phyto and zoo plankton. Even with cutting down fish feedings and less coral feedings, algae on my rock continues to be a problem.

Critters:

1 nassarius snail

2 banded trochus

3 nerite snails

2 cerith snails

2 scarlet hermit crabs

Do you guys have any suggestions of what snails/crabs to help with my algae on live rock problem?

Below is some pictures to show the algae problem...

Back part of the tank, top of the live rock. Looks like cyano, right?

Front part of the tank, top of the live rock. In this area there's a couple of diatom bubbles on the top part of the live rock. I just recently found 2 small bubble algae on the top part of the live rock. I HATE ALGAE!! AHH!

We had a cyano bloom when our tank was about that old too. I think its just what happens when the tank is that old. We just kept on with often water changes and that helped. Good luck.

I would try to increase flow so that the cyano cant settle down too easily. Also, make sure you aren't adding a decent amount of tap water in your tank and whenever you work on your tank, make sure that you dont have lotion on your arms.

Flow doesn't help at all with keeping cyano from 'settling'. I've had cyano grow on the outflow of my MP40 pumps. Flow can help with nutrient export, oxygen/CO2 movement on corals, etc, so it's ALWAYS good to add more flow, but for that reason alone it cannot help.
