Chungy
Just finished cycling the biocube 14g with some gulf live rocks from Dan. It had a pretty harsh cycle since there was a lot of die offs. I just spotted these guys today, I am some what certain they are aiptasias, but what species are they? I'm more curious to know if they are the evil types that I should get rid of right away. There are nothing in the tank except the live rocks. Any help is appreciated! This guy (in the middle) has bubble tips: Link to comment
Acielot
Not actually aiptasia if its from the gulf. A close relative but it s can still be pest. I removed some of mine. In the process of removing them all because they don't play well with coral. Link to comment
Chungy
Thanks! I might have to take out the rock and torch it. Link to comment
markalot
Don't kill the one with bubble tips IMO. Might be a shroom, might be something else. Link to comment
Carebearcatz
Yea, the bubble thing looks very cool. I'd do some more research before torching that one. Link to comment
Chungy
I haven't got around to it yet, they are on different rocks, so that shouldn't be a problem to just nuke the big guy in the first picture. I'm waiting for the CUC to get there from reefcleaners, I'll take out the rock and kill it before adding the CUC. Thanks guys! Link to comment
