ChesterRxs
Hello, I am planning on getting some chemi-pure for my AC70 with the Intank Media Basket. There are three kinds that I found. Which one is the best choice for a 20 gallon fish and coral tank and the best size to fit in an Intank Media Basket Chemi-Pure http://www.marinedepot.com/Boyd_Chemi_Pure_Carbon_Replacements_Resin_Chemical_Filter_Media-Boyd_Enterprises_%28Chemi_Pure%29-BE1111-FIFMCHRM-vi.html Chemi-Pure Blue http://www.marinedepot.com/Boyd_Chemi_Pure_Blue_Carbon_Replacements_Resin_Chemical_Filter_Media-Boyd_Enterprises_%28Chemi_Pure%29-BE16752-FIFMCHRM-vi.html Chemi-Pure Elite http://www.marinedepot.com/Boyd_Chemi_Pure_Elite_Carbon_Replacements_Resin_Chemical_Filter_Media-Boyd_Enterprises_%28Chemi_Pure%29-BE1211-FIFMCHRM-vi.html Thanks Link to comment

evanski
Blue is supposed to be Elite plus Purigen. If you were headed that way, you could get the bennies of both matrices without cramming two bags of media into your AC70. This would be my choice, and lots of folks run both with good success. StevieT also says this makes your water wetter. Link to comment
ChesterRxs
Blue is supposed to be Elite plus Purigen. Well the thing is that I was planning on using the chemi-pure with purigen, but if chemi-pure blue already has something like purigen in it, it would save me a lot of money and space in my ac70. I might spend the little extra and get the blue now. Would a 5.5oz bag be enough to fit inside the intank media basket for the ac70? Link to comment
