Jimmyboo
So I am considering ordering Fedex Second day on some inverts because the price is right and the order is not very big. Fedex is usually pretty good here, which means the inverts probably wont be in the water more than 48 hours, however, do people think that that is too long? All comments are welcome. Would love to here about peoples personal experiences. Best, JB Link to comment
GlassHouse
Reefcleaners ships priority mail (2 days) and I've never had a problem. Link to comment
seabass
It depends on what you are shipping. Even some coral companies offer 2nd day shipping; however, they usually do not offer an arrive alive guarantee on this service. Zoanthids usually do better than some other corals. If it's just snails, I say go for it. If it's a BTA, I'd pay for next day service. Link to comment

seabass
The hermits should be fine. The shrimp would be more sensitive. Maybe someone else will weigh in on 2-day shipping on the shrimp. For a small order, you might even consider getting them from your LFS. Link to comment
GlassHouse
I personally wouldn't ship shrimp 2 days. The hermits would be fine and most snails. Link to comment
Jimmyboo
Hi, I would definitely consider my LFS, except the peppermint shrimp they sell are not necessarily (Lysmata wurdemanni), I am also considering getting a Emerald Crab, but that may be too much for a 2g. More feedback welcome. Link to comment
indyjaco
Watch weather temps and you should be fine. Most snails are tidal so they are use to some warmth and being dry. Link to comment

Egginis
You might try and ask you LFS if they could order the shrimp that you want. I have established very good relationships with 2 LFS stores in particular in my area and they will order whatever I need. Nice thing is that there is no obligation to buy either. If I do not like the order or do not want the order, they just stock their tanks. I certainly would do next day shipping on shrimp if you go that route. Two days is too long in my opinion.
