Eclipse
From what I can see, I've got 4 aiptasia anemones in my tank. If understand that I can inject them with lime juice, but will it have negative results on water quality? It's only a 10 gallon tank after all. Link to comment
hardyl425
Peppermint shrimp eat them, that's how I got them under control Link to comment
Chadf
I've always used aiptasia x. Some babies may pop up, kill them too. I've rid a few tanks with it. Link to comment
ninjamyst
just used aiptasia x to kill 4 of them on a frag. i was able to take the frag out an do it in a separate container Link to comment
paulrw
folks also use boiling water and hydrogen peroxide injected into them. but i'd also go with aiptasia X. Link to comment
Alchemic
I like natural solutions and would go with the Peppermint Shrimp. Link to comment
anizato
How did you get rid of the Aiptasia? I sucked one out with the dropper that is provided with the Hydrometer. The second I couldn't figure out if I blew it off or sucked it in. I don't know if I have any more. I was kinda thinking of getting like 3 Berghia Nudis to make sure they were all gone. I still can't decide what approach to take. Because i only have 3 rocks in my 10 gallon. I am curious to know what you have done to get rid of them. Link to comment
Circle_City_Bill
Had one on a zoa colony. Introduced a Peppermint shrimp--took less than 48 hours for the aiptasia to disappear. Unfortunately, the shrimp has also consumed all the small feather dusters on the rock and the small sea stars in the tank. In fact, I watched it carry off a small star to it's lair. Link to comment
