chadgarner Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 I have a 2 month old BRS 75 gpd 5 stage ro/di unit setup in the garage. I am burning through DI resin like crazy. Finally got a TDS meter and realized that out of the RO portion I am still getting 45 tds. I also bought a pressure gauge and am getting 55 psi right before the membrane. I do have high tds in my area (480 - 520 ppm) but have seen people get this way down with RO. I can't figure out how to get the TDS lower, an advice? Link to comment
AZDesertRat Posted June 16, 2014 Share Posted June 16, 2014 What is your tap water TDS, RO only TDS and final RO/DI TDS? What is your water temperature and your water pressure? Are you using softened water if you have it available? What is your exact measured waste ratio? Have you ever tried to blend or temper hot and cold water to raise the temperature going in to the RO? Something is not right, my tap TDS is around 600 and my RO only is between 2 and 3 so it can be better. Link to comment
