Every summer I cultivate a bucket of daphnia which last me throughout the summer. This is so easy to do it's untrue and yes you can feed freshwater daphnia to your marine fish and corals safely.
Just get an old salt bucket full it with fresh water (not salt and no need for RO in fact I use rainwater) and add a banana skin and leave in a sunny position for a couple of weeks and you will have a thick green batch of algae. Add a small bag of daphnia from your LFS and let them breed which they will in no time. When ready to feed simply scoop them out with a large plastic sieve and feed to your tank. Daphnia don't live long in SW but are gobbled up by most fish in no time at all. The cost just a single bag of live daphnia and you have live food to last you all summer.

Wonder if the mosquito larva are good for SW fish as well. Those would breed like mad in my area if I left a bucket of water outside.

Well your fish would eat them and yes I have heard of people feeding them to SW fish without any problem. As long as there is no spraying in the area where you live to rid them..
