Possibly strange sweeper tentacles from Welsophylia?

Alright, this might seem like a noob type of question but there are VERY long sweepers coming off of my welso. The part that makes it strange is that they are coming from the side/bottom/kind of underneath the coral itself but still part of the tissue. Nowhere near its mouth or anything. I have seen them extend and retract. Makes me kind of nervous how long these things are with neighboring coral nearby. Is this normal? I darkened the photo in one of them to make it easier to see what is going on.

So should this be removed or is harmless? I have a 6 line wrasse in the tank, do they eat tube worms or just flat worms?

There are some vermetids on my rocks, generally appear when I stir up the water before my water change. The sweeper on here resembles more of a fern like thing. Also when I first saw it this morning it retracted pretty fast, that is not too common of vermetids ime, it does kind of look like that though. Whatever it is, it is definitely under the coral
