syntax_error
Has anyone used these with their picos? I'm thinking of a 5.5 gal AGA. Link to comment
thesmallerthebetter
havent used that one but i have quite a few chinese PAR38s that ive stripped and replaced the emitters on and they work well for me, growing plenty of high end SPS frags and plate corals and the like with them no issues at all. Some of them are a couple years old now too. Link to comment
straydog
Those seem to have alot more white than blue . I chose thes because they also have uv http://coralcompulsion.com/led/led-36w-20k-Full Link to comment
syntax_error
straydog, I looked at coralcompulsion but they don't ship to Canada The alternative is RapidLED, but I'm trying to see it I can find something cheaper. thesmallerthebetter, by replacing the emitter do you mean the LEDs in the bulb? Where do I get them? Link to comment
thesmallerthebetter
Yea the leds in the bulb. They usually use a "batwing" style led thats really easy to remove. Getting emitters is easy. Fleabay has a lot of chinese ones, ones that fit can be had from more reputable sellers too with a little google power Link to comment
wiskey
id like more blue personally but thats IMO. I had a par38 on my 4gal and I think it was too bright, i now have a par30 and am a lot happier, I can keep it a lot closer to the tank. Link to comment
