cdub1955
I have a 38 gallon nuvo. am currently running one Kessil 360W over this tank. I am experienced with reefing in the past...running 250 watt halides over many tanks. I love the Kessil, but it does create some shadows. And i think I could drive more light into this tank. i am considering 2 over this tank....pretty close to center. I will add a controller too...to get some dusk to dawn affect etc. What do you think? Gilligan
Sweet. My logical side says to raise it up higher to make the shadows thinner first, see how that looks, works. Still have a single point-source that way. My reality side would probably by the second one. Keep in mind though the A360W is rated for 24" of surface by 36" deep penetration, so I don't think you need one. How high are you running it now? Link to comment
Gilligan
Well raise it up another 6" or 8"s. If you still don't like the effect , I guess you could try a second. I single A360N might work way up in the air too, it penetrates 4'-5', it might light up the tank nice even though it's only rated for 18" of surface coverage. Hard to imagine it not lighting up a 24" tank way up in the air like that, but I am just going by the specs. Link to comment
