Testing Schedule

I'm pretty much pulling my hair out at this point, at least whats left of it. Does anyone have a testing schedule that they like to adhere to? I've always been used to water changes taking care of my cal/alk/mag in my old 20 gallon nano but since I've moved up to a 60 cube its a different ballgame and my tank is consuming more than small water changes can supplement.

 

I've purchased Kent a&b and I've had a bottle of aquavitro ions (mag supplement) for a bit and I'm planning on dosing them to get the levels back up. I know I need to figure out how much my tank consumes but do I test after a WC then before the next one to figure out a dosing schedule? Or just always test after and dose according to what the WC didn't increase?
