thefirechief
When a driver is rated at 1000ma is that per channel or total? Also the new Lumina .2 lamp has channels rated to 1500ma and the largest driver is only rated to 1000ma. How do you properly drive a 1500ma channel ? Link to comment
jedimasterben
Drivers don't really have 'channels' unless you buy a driver that is multichannel (like the MakersDriver, which has two LDD, or Steve's LEDs digital drivers, which have 1-4 channels on the CAT4101 driver). No Meanwell driver that I know of has more than one output. 1500mA is the maximum drive current of the XT-E. They will accept any input up to that current without damage. I would recommend 1000mA or less, as you get above 1000mA, the efficiency drops sharply and power consumption rises sharply. Link to comment
