Pieces of the Reef™ are an assortment of several hardy, easy-to-keep corals attached to fully cured natural live rock that are cultured at our own indoor coral farm in artificial conditions just like your saltwater aquarium. This makes them less costly, hardier, and easier to keep than wild collected individual corals. The inspiration for the Pieces of the Reef came from a trip to the Solomon Islands that Dr. Mac took to help the locals there set up a coral farm. Each Piece of the Reef™ has a great assortment of different live corals. Most have at least 4 (and often more) different corals which are attached to a piece of real live rock and allowed to heal and begin encrusting before being offered for sale. Because live rock can be highly variable, the exact sizes and shapes of these pieces is equally variable. On average they range between about 3 to 7 inches, and are usually photographed on standard 1/2 inch egg crate to help you better judge their sizes. Pieces of the Reef™ are available with all manner of Soft Corals, LPS Corals, and SPS corals. No two are exactly the same.

Add Pieces of the Reef™ to any reef tank and you immediately and economically have entire sections of cured live rock and corals. They are fantastic for Nano reef tanks! Just add 3 or 4 to your Nano reef and you have a complete biotope ready immediately for your enjoyment with all the rock and corals you need for a complete system!
