franklypre Posted January 12, 2012 Author Share Posted January 12, 2012 It has been a busy last few months, this tank is on a system that has the 40b and a 55 sump/extra frag tank. Along with the coral Steve gave me was a pistol shrimp, I had never had one so didn't take precautions. After several months of digging he finally caused the left side of my rock stack to collapse, I lost most of my ponape, the purple stylo and a few other frags. But in this hobby you learn to deal with setbacks and improve on the overall idea. I replaced the bulb with a ebay 400w DE 20k that Tropicorium supposedly uses. I have also added two PAR 38 that are probably about to be replaced with actinic t5s or VHO as the LEDs cast a ghostly purple color that I don't care for. My frag tank is about full so I'll have frags for sale as soon as the weather is good. I have a lot of chalice frags. Here are a few pics of the tank FTS Right side Left side Link to comment

franklypre Posted March 4, 2012 Author Share Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks Jay, I did what I didn't want to do and took the rest of the smaller rocks out and gave the tank a new scape. I think, I know this is the scape that will remain until I'm forced to change it. The tank will be moved forward a few inches so I can put the overflow in the back of the tank, the 400w halide will be raise up a little so the LEDs can spread evenly. I have about 25-30 frags that are QTed and ready to be placed soon, and I added a Flame Angel for a little more movement/color. I am at a point I hope to be able to update this thread a little more regularly. Link to comment

franklypre Posted March 5, 2012 Author Share Posted March 5, 2012 Both of the Sicce Voyager 2s are aimed at the surface, it gives a nice random flow while the Koralia is actually part of a 2 channel wavemaker. Thanks for the support, I really think this is the best scape so far. Link to comment

franklypre Posted March 5, 2012 Author Share Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks. I am currently learning the art of photography with our new T2i and it's various settings/filters. Got the tank moved forward so the overflow should be moving to the back where it belongs. I'm hoping that will open the tank up a little and allow for better flow, I've been battling a fish stick induced algae that I believe is some sort of dino. Link to comment

Yellow Lokani Don't have a good ID all I know is it is Bali Maricultured about 2 years grown out Mr.Coral blue stag of some sort This is a coral I've been working with for a while, got quite a few frags of it just haven't got a name yet Link to comment
franklypre Posted March 23, 2012 Author Share Posted March 23, 2012 Been doing quite a bit of work on the tank, moved it forward so the overflow could move to the back, added more than a few frags, and added a piece of tonga branch. Oh and removed the wellso as the angelfish is a bit of a nipper, hoping he will grow out of it. I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. I do have frags of the chalice that are very well healed as well as plenty of other frags to make it worth shipping, frags for anyone who actually reads my thread are 20, PM please. I'll probably do a sale thread in the next few weeks and they will be 30 as they are listed on a few other sites. Most of my SPS are fragged and ready to go for 10-20 bucks a frag.
