neutronbomb
Im changing my tank to a biocube 14 that i just purchased. I was unpacking it and went to remove the false bottom from the first chamber; reading everyones posts on their biocube setup i was assuming the false bottom just snapped out. Before I break something down in there that I can't fix, I wanted to make sure that theres no secret little clip that im supposed to pull back that makes it open or something. I'd hate to go in with a chisel and break it out just to find out that's not what I was supposed to do! Thanks!! Link to comment
neutral
It's siliconed in, just break the seal. I used a metal coat hanger, slipped it through one of the cracks (with a u bend in the hanger), turned 90 degrees and pulled up. Others have had success pushing down to break the seal as well. Pickle010
Just pick a corner and push down. The whole thing will tilt. Then just pull it out. You might need to put a little force behind it. I'd be careful if you are going to use tools or screw driver or anything - remember that not too far beneath that floor is glass. Link to comment
jgaepi
Restarting up this old thread. I did this tonight w an established tank but now my water levels are off. Chamber 3 water level is higher and main tank level is lower. My ATO sensor in chamber 3 is completely submerged now. Link to comment
