well first off there isnt any such thing as a free car warranty so your argument holds no weight...

still no point, you pay 20K for a car you are paying for all those luxuries ...

and the color of a clam isnt really the same on any level....

Caveat emptor is all i can say

when buying something you cant see... it was mentioned that lighting can affect the colors travel can make them lose color tank conditions can affect it all...

but free is free when it comes to something like this be happy with it or just go and pay the money for the one you can see

Ugone, did you try to contact Mr. Coral prior to posting? If you did, and he didnt't respond or refuse to settle a reasonable agreement about the clam, then I'm on your side. BUT, if you didn't even make the effort to contact him before you post a negative feedback here then IMHO you're on the wrong and out of line.

i don't get it. if you made a purchase just to get the free clam, then why wouldn't you just purchase a clam in the first place?

what were the terms of the offer? was it a free clam with a $50 purchase or something similar?

LIke I said, this is not a feedback. I'm asking other members if their clam turn out to be what they asked for.

Clam wassn't priced. Spend $100 to get a free clam. You were allowed to choose the clam.

I've ordered from Mr. Coral several times, and I've been satisfied every time. The colors in his pictures are always a bit brighter and more vivid than in my tank -- it may be the lights, or it may be his camera -- but his prices always beat anyone else's (including free shipping).

Pretty much, you get what you pay for, imo.

If you're not happy, send him an email.

I could say the same about you with some of your post but thats a different topic.

Like I said, the only reason ordered was because of the clam. I could of gotten the same looking clam at my LFS. If I knew I was getting a dull looking clam, I wouldn't of placed an order. Yes it was free, does that give him the right to switched what I picked? (not saying he did but I'm going to find out) Lets get this straight, this is not a feedback forum.

Have you contacted him yet? That should be the first thing I would do. Mr. Coral is a great person to work with. I am sure he will care about the order as much as you do.

The live animal business is hard. Sometimes animals get stressed, (and it seems like that may be the case), and they don't appear the way they did before they were in great shape. The hard truth is none of the animals in our tanks are supposed to be there, and getting them from point A to B (and beyond) carries risks. It is most likely a problem that he didn't intend to happen, and once notified he will work with you to get the clam looking its best again.

Do you have a picture of the clam? If I were you I would post it, lots of people on here might have some tips on getting it going again.

I have to agree with the starter of this thread...This is NOT a feedback thread...because if it was I would hope the guy would have half the sack that it takes to voice a negative pile of crap like that to the seller before smearing it across the internet....

Hey BOZO....Maybe MrCoral would have done something that would have made you really happy in the long run, if he realized you were unhappy before the ENTORE WORLD was notified....

Get a clue...take problems to the person you have a problem with...not EVERYONE else....Does MrCoral even know you have an issue?? We all do!

It might not be a feedback forum, but you don't start badmouthing someone until you have all the details.

But I guess some people like saying libelous things on the internet... That feeling of anonymity makes people think they can do anything.

Maybe if you posted a photo of the 'crap' you got we would understand. I'm sure that's what you meant.

Look, you made your point. Apparently you are the only one who was dissatisfied with your clam purchase. That must suck.

But either post a photo of the clam so we can help you get its color back, or let us know how MrCoral responded to your email. Either way, be a little more proactive in finding a solution, please.

You do realize that there were only a handfull of clams available during this special, and that the internet has a LOT of people on it right?

That specific clam you wanted may have been selected by countless others, so they substituted it with another one. Either way, it is free, and Mr. Coral wasn't planning on having people purchase through them ONLY because of the clams, so they may not have realized switching was an issue for you. With the Duncans that were given out, there wasn't even a choice involved, so you're lucky you even had an option to attempt to choose.

Like everyone else said, if a perfect clam was what you wanted, you should have gone to a LFS to find one. Or you could do what someone else said and sell/trade it for something you want.

Here is the clam I got. The one I picked had blues, green, purple on them. A very premium colored one. This is no where near what I picked. I contacted Mr. Coral. No reply yet.

soooo if i buy a car with a free extended warranty, i crash and get told no, theres no extended warranty are you gonna tell me to suck it up and stress that its A FREE WARRANTY?

...UgoneBannas has a point. If the product is not what was advertised, it doesnt matter how much he paid for it.


no that doesn't count. He didnt get a dead/crahsed clam, he got a free clam. If he's this upset about it, he should sell it.
