Tenor
Its dead tube worm, rock polyp. Your rock will be ok when it totally cure. Link to comment
CAmor07
The rock i bought was supposed to be fully cured? Link to comment
altolamprologus
The rock i bought was supposed to be fully cured? Fully cured means all the dead stuff has rotted and they did the cycle for you. It does not at all mean you will have a bunch of creature in it. Link to comment
CAmor07
If it isn't fully cured, do i need to put a raw shrimp in to start the cycle or can still do it the natural way Link to comment
patback
Wait a few days and test. If there is still nothing, add a small amount of food just to kick start it. Link to comment
altolamprologus
If it isn't fully cured, do i need to put a raw shrimp in to start the cycle or can still do it the natural way No, just let the tank run Wait a few days and test. If there is still nothing, add a small amount of food just to kick start it. If you do add some food, add pellets, flakes, or the juice from defrosted mysis. Adding whole raw shrimp can add heterotrophic bacteria to the system that you don't want Link to comment
matt frizz
most of those pics is just rock and it's def. not a dead mushroom, they don't have skeletons. It's probably a dead montipora or some sort of SPS coral. Link to comment
