Curly Joe Reefer
I have kept freshwater tanks for over a decade, but i finally decided to try my hand at saltwater reefs. I figured I would start a journal so here begins my saltwater adventure. Let me know what you all think. Here are some pics to get things started I'm always open to constructive criticism. lakshwadeep
to nano-reef.com edit: You don't really need the HOT filter for biological filtration. The live rock (and sand) are more suitable and complete filters. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
You could have asked the moderator to change your user name. I'm not sure changing it for each new tank is a good idea, or people might think you're always a newbie. Getting a dedicated powerhead, like a hydor koralia, will be more effective with water movement, which is probably on the low end with just the canister filter. Link to comment
