204CORD
Dec 29 2004 - Well today i noticed something in my tank that theres something growing on my LR and i have about 6 snails scrolling around my tank. I think i got the snail when i bought the 20lbs fiji LR so i guess its a freebie. Dec 30 2004 - So i finally decided that im moving my tank and the TV is staying. I am now building a stand for it and its almost done just needed a few things at Home Depot. I got a pretty good deal on the door, just need some sanding and staining and im done. Also picked my self a RO/DI unit for a good price. Dec 31 2004 - Staining is almost done. I'll just have to wait till it dry so i can put the third coat and im done. Dec 31 2004 - Finally done! just needed to sand the door and stain it and its done. Here's a pic of the tank and i re-arranged the LR again and created a cave on the middle of it. After new year im planning on building a 10g sump/refugium. Heres the pic with flash and w/o the flash. Link to comment

phergus_25
I'd break up the rock some and make it fit togeather a lot better, it looks good tho and the tank size is cool. I use da chisel and a hammer to break mine up. Link to comment

204CORD
aight.. i'll give it a try. do you guys know what is this? its moving pretty slow Link to comment
smokez01
Not sure about your question, but i also think that you should get a chisel and hamemr to break up your rock, like atleast break each one in half it seems, when i ordered 15lbs it came in 3 big 5 lb peices and i broke each one into 3/4 peices, i havnt done anything yet but from hearing other people its much easier to find an aquascaping you like with smaller rock and its easier to mingle with, i used a flat head screwdriver and hammer, just find a crack and break it there or break whatevr you think may look good, another way to do it is "naturally" and take the rock and drop it on cement ive read of a few people doing this but overall it looks like a very clean set up, i like the light fixture and it looks like a very nice size tank Link to comment

204CORD
lol... thats why i upgraded my lights to PC Link to comment
Styxnpicks
I don't really like pc's on my tanks as the actinic is no match to URI's VHO bulbs and my pcs always make my tank looked washed out. the tank looks like its coming together. good job ditchin the skilter and prizm too. Link to comment

204CORD
Well my sump/refugium is finally done. Added about 15lbs of fiji LS and 2lbs of fiji LR. I got about a hand full of chaeto at my LFS. When i got everything setup i saw something in there not sure what it is but im sure its a coral so i moved it right away in the main tank. I know my tank is not quite done cycling but i hope this thing will survive. Link to comment

I've heard of that pest anemone, it like begins to grow all over your rock, and if you try and kill it and a small piece is still there, it can grow from that. So I agree, get rid of it now, and you'll thank yourself later! Link to comment
