The ability to dim makes them perfect for nano aquariums, and the variety of mounting options available from any hardware store makes PAR38 formfactor lighting very versetile!

Available in two color options in 110v, the PR-25 also introduces the 2nd generation of our Power LED™ emitters - the most efficient and highest PUR diodes on the market!

PR-25UV : 6 Royal Blue / 4 true 15k white Power LED Gen 2™ / 2 UV-Violet diodes (~”20k” with UV for enhanced color - we are the only LED lighting company offering a 380-420 nm UV/True Violet diode!)

PR-25: 6 blue / 6 true 15k white Power LED Gen2™ (~”14-16k”)

If you know of any other PAR38/PAR30 LED bulbs out there let me know and I'll try to add it to the list.

I am in the market for a new light set-up for my 10g so I am just seeing what everyone's opinions are out there.

Lastly I have no relation with any of these companies stated above.

I dont even own a PAR-XX bulb, but I am in the market like I said.

Nooooooowwwwwwww I see why you deleted the one I posted on.

I'm not going to repost it, just go to the other thread and read it. Actually it wasn't that helpful anyway so don't bother. I guess this post isn't helpful either, oh well.

Atleast you found the updated thread lol.

I replied to you over at the messed up thread.

To answer your question from the other thread this took me about 30-45 minutes.

Just lots of copy and pasting.

Hopefully this will get popular and help people with future lighting purchases.

I see a sticky in this threads future fingerscrossed

You do know that most people who answer this poll will have only tried one or two of the options you've listed above....which means all the data from your poll isn't really worth anything. :)

How is that so?

The poll is there to get everyone's preference in bulbs.

If someone only used 2 of the options above then they can check 2 of the options.

That will help people know what are more popular among the nano-reef community.

You do know that my lamp and the Ecoxotic are the same, save for the color and price?

Hey evil you were the originator of the bulb and I give you props for that. There is still one difference with Ecoxotic is that they offer all royal blue bulb 455 nm. I bought these bulbs from marine depot and they were advertising it as 20k last year. I noticed that bulb seem far too blue to be 20k, but I didn't think none of it back then. I see they updated the info, but I'm kind of mad that I bought something that wasn't advertised correctly.

We used to offer them also. There weren't many people interested in them at the time. We may look at bringing them back if the demand is there.

And I'm secretly hoping they aint :P

We have too many tank shots that look like a black-lite crime scene from Oompa-Loompa land already.

I like my RAPID par38. It has one warm white and 2 cool white. When I cover the warm white LED with my hand, I don't like to colors of the tank. The warm white improves the over all color of the corals.

I have Rapid LED PAR38 both with all cool white and new one with warm white, also the Rapid LED PAR 30, I have several of Evil's PAR38's, but the one that I like the best are Orphek's PR25UV Par38's, the coral growth and color I'm getting are better under these.
