How to frag a Trachyphyllia/brain coral

1. make sure it has at least 2 or more mouths on it. if not don't frag it yet.

2. take a rubber band and band in between the 2 mouths, put it back in the tank let it sit for 2-3 weeks, the fleshy part will slowly tear and heal as it inflates.

3. take the rubber band off.

4. use a band saw and cut in between the 2 mouths, fleshy part should already be separated from the rubber band. --Note i used a jigsaw i would def not recommend it.

5. do a quick dip in some tank water to get the slime off then place back in tank.

6. enjoy

this was done about 1.5-2 months ago, both sides are completely healed and flesh is covered both the cut parts.
