Technical specs: Lighting: Ledlamp, 15 watt Circulation: one tunze nano pump, modded Livestock: corals from my old nano Filtration: only LR Link to comment
nagytamas
The led lamp in test mode now. I built it from 4 sq1 rebel coldwhite and 4 royalblue leds with a 350 mA buckpack and 2 P4 processor coolers without fans. And the pics: The lamp: FTS: Overwiev of the left corner: Link to comment

nagytamas
Last week I went to the lfs and couldn't resist to buy a new fish. The chosen one is a tailspot blenny, one of my favourites. He stays under the biggest rock behind the xenia forest allday. He is a shy guy, but eats everything. Link to comment
BLoCkCliMbeR
how did you mod the pumps? Link to comment
nagytamas
how did you mod the pumps? I removed the flow control tube, and cut out the propeller like flow limiters. This mod doubles the output of this pumps, and after the mod two produce enough flow in my nano. You can see it in this pic after the mod: Link to comment
nagytamas
Let me introduce my new homemade led driver. The FET based circuit powered with an ATX power supply, and able to drive 3 high power leds. The power loss is 1.5 watt, when 3 rebel leds are driven with 700mA, it means 78% efficiency. Here are the shematics (i built the middle one, with irf540 and bat46 diode): The driver under testing: Link to comment
nagytamas
I've just finished the tests, and the water parameters better then expected in a filterless two weeks old system: Mg: 1270 mg/L Ca: 400 mg/L Alk: 7 nk NO3: 5 mg/L NO2: 0 mg/L NH4: 0mg/L salinity: 1,026 temperature: 25C Link to comment
