I feed frozen when I get a chance but it mostly occurs on weekends when I am home most. It balances the feeding out and gets them used to eating dry food when I am away on travel. The coral is made into a paste for the LPS and Zoanthid corals. I tend to add a little more water for the SPS. The self-prepared fish food is made into a mush, flattened, frozen, and served similar to the way herbivore algae sheets are fed to a tank. Because there is no water and only meaty foods, it remains together as fish tears pieces from it and gobble it down. Notes -A lot of my corals are recovering from issues during the move to my new home as well as some tribulations that occurred in the setup before the move such as color loss and M.E.N. -I switched from ESV 2-part additives to the Fauna Marin Balling Light System because it seems like a better move since I do not do WC as much as I need to. -I was originally bare-bottom but decided to run sand when I moved and so far, I have been doing a better job at maintaining the sand due to the use of the Eheim Quick Vac Pro. -For now, I am trying to stop adding corals to the tank. *Fingers crossed* My goal is to not to touch the tank unless their is an absolute need. - I may remove (1) Blue Plus Bulb and change it out for either Aquablue Special or another Coral Plus bulb. My tank is too blue considering I have (2) Reefbrite XHO blues attached. Link to comment

ReviloM
My sump will be upgraded once I get home tomorrow. I am upgrading it to the BioTek Cube Sump 20x20x16. I bought black fittings and red piping to match it. Pics of the finished product will come soon after. Link to comment
charnelhouse
One of the flame wrasses started flashing I was just getting ready to ask if you had any concerns about one of the jordani turning and then getting into it with the scottorum, then I saw this. Half of my question answered Does the scottorum think the jordani are his harem? Link to comment

Half of my question answered Does the scottorum think the jordani are his harem? He keeps them "in-line" from time to time. He will soon be removed though. It will be just the Flame Wrasses and Ventralis Anthias (soon to be ordered). Link to comment
ReviloM
Got the sump installed. It was a better upgrade. I now have a frag area which is lit by a kessil A160WE. Link to comment
Squared
I love your taste in livestock. Do you think you will ever need to re-home a wrasse or two? I've read they can get aggressive, which why I've never tried any fairy wrasse.. Link to comment

I've read they can get aggressive, which why I've never tried any fairy wrasse.. Thanks. Nope, I won't have to re-home them. I specifically chose 3 female flames so that 1 will eventually change into a male in which one is in the transition phase. There is very little aggression. Only certain fairy wrasses are overly aggressive. Here is a chart created by a person named Evolved (from another forums) which is realistic to the temperament except my Scott's Fairy is not aggressive: Link to comment

ReviloM
I am at the point where I have too many corals that are non-sps. I am deciding if I should just stop adding sps or get rid of non-sps to make room for more sps. I guess the SPS bug has bit me. I have other SPS that are healing up and will be photographed in the future but for now, here are some top downs I took while doing a little maintenance: Link to comment
ifarmer
Very nice. Absolutely stunning. On a 24x24 foot print tank and is lit with 8 bulbs t5 and two reef rite, isn't that a lot of light? Noticed that you don't use any purple bulbs. Any reasons why? Thanks Link to comment
Bunster
Once the sps bug bites, it will never let go... Are you using any other Fauna marin additives? Link to comment

I haven't had any corals to bleach due to it. I have overhangs for some of my corals such as the acans and blastos in which they are shielded from the intense light. I, also, have lower par in the front of the tank where they are using 2 True actinics bulbs. Purple bulbs like Purple plus or spectrum bulbs like True Actinic which would closer to the purple uv spectrum. If purple plus, I don't need it because I run Aquablue special now. I, also, prefer coral plus to purple plus. Once the sps bug bites, it will never let go... Are you using any other Fauna marin additives? I use the fauna marin balling light system: Ca, Alk, Mag and the trace additives that are added to the Ca and Alk. Everything else such as the foods are just gimmicks to me. Link to comment
