:welcome: Reef enthusiast

I decided to start a new project, as I wanted to have a small piece of ocean in my living room instead of my basement (It will be the third reef tank in the house...). I pulled the trigger to a brand new Innovative Marine Nuvo Pico 4 Gallon Aquarium White with 4w Clamp White 14k.

I added to my shopping list:

  • Smart ATO-Automatic Top Off System
  • Cobalt Aquatics Neo-Therm 50-Watt with Plastic LED
  • Carib Sea Ocean Direct Natural Live Sand, 5-Pound

Today I received some equipment.

Smart ATO is sleek, small design and everything is included: very small pump, tubing. It Should fit perfectly in the back of the tank.

The heater Cobalt Aquatics, no surprise I already use big brother model on my 90 gal tank,

The 50W is small, same functionality: Electronic, temperature, small foot print and very reliable.

I bought the AUQA Gadget - Spin Stream Nozzle. but be aware with this tank the pump doesn't have enough power to make it spin. Will return it.

I wanted to run some media against phosphate/Nitrate, I added a reactor: The AUQA Gadget - MiniMax All-In-One Media Reactor. I removed the filtration and replaced it by the reactor. It feet perfectly.

My plan is to use a minimum amount of bio-pellets even if I don't have a skimmer will see how it goes..

Will try with: Two Little Fishies ATLNPX1 Npx Bioplastics Polymer, 400ml.

Cloudy just after adding the sand.

Comparison of the micro pico (250ml) tank from my son :slap: . Still a really tiny tank!

I will move one live rock from my 90 gal to this mini Pico very soon

Looking for some feedback as I will replace the LED Fixture.

The original LED is too small for good corals growth.

Shortlist of LED:

- Kessil A360 as it's dimmable and silent compare to the 150.

- Razor 420r Nano

or the Ai sol Nano

I just pulled the trigger and ordered the Nanobox Mini Tide with metal arm + Storm controller, it will be full white with gold grill.

It's rare to see a customer service like this. So far it's 100% perfect.

Should take 3 weeks, just need to wait now

I have the same tank. Looking great. Any plans to upgrade the pump? I'm looking at loc line add ons to divide the flow but might buy a new pump first.

I was thinking as well to replace the pump, as the flow is very low for my taste. First I used an old koralia for nano but it was kind of ugly, I took it off.

Let me know your pump choice and how it goes when you have it.

Thanks

How is that reactor working?? Are you having any issues with any mechanical filtration?

Just wondering... Could you move the reactor to the middle bay and out the heater in the first bay with the stock media basket? Would that fit?
