Hi,
this is my first post here and I'm already sorry for my rusty English.
I started a small tank recently and I bought an Italian all-in-one tank with, of course, quite bad items (my fault, but it was my first experience in the hobby).
I'm looking for improving the tank from time to time to get to a good result (technically speaking...).
First thing that I'd like to change is water movement.
The water cube measures something like 35x35x35cm (almost 14x14x14 inches). There's no sand so, considering the amount of live rocks, the net water volume should be something like 37 liters on just less than that (9 to 10 gallons).
I was considering a couple of powerheads in an alternate cycle to get a good result keeping a low budget profile.
Nano Koralia Reef Kit or Sicce (I'm italian) equivalent.
I'm not sure which ones I should choose in terms of gph.
Considering that only 1 powerhead would be running at a time, Koralia comes with 425gph solution, Sicce with 265gph or 530gph powerheads.
The cost is pretty much the same for the 3 alternatives...
Sicce quality sounds good, plus the Sicce Wave Maker has night mode included. I'm torn because I guess that 265gph would be too little movement and 530gph too much movement.
That's why I was considering Koralia.
I'm keeping some softies and lps (euphyllia and similar). My aim would be to move to an almost only lps tank, no sps in my plans so far...I have too little experience.
How many gph is the correct amount of movement in your opinion? Which one would be the best choice?
Thanks to you all!
