Okay, so I've been dealing with a bacterial bloom in one of my tanks for about a month and a half. I'm sure it's a bacterial bloom, and I've tried every trick in the book. I even tore down the tank, blasted all of the rock with clean saltwater, and then set the tank back up fresh. No dice. The bloom came back over the course of about 3 weeks. I've got two options left: UV sterilization, or doing a total restart. Soak the rock in muratic acid, clean all of the equipment in vinegar, and hope that my fish and inverts do okay while the tank re-cycles. The issue? I don't have time to babysit a tank while it cycles right now. I'm working 12 hours a day. So, UV sterilization is what I'd like to try first. Would that work? I'm truly out of patience and options. I've been trying my best with this tank, and it's been nothing but trouble for the past couple of months. It started with an anemone dying while I was on vacation, and since then, I've not had any luck with stuff doing well in the tank. The tank is stocked with a juvenile Pink Skunk Clownfish and a Blackline Blenny. Both will be moved into a 29 next summer, once I'm off to college. The tank gets a 50% WC weekly. Parameters are as follows: Ammonia/Nitrite: 0 PPM Nitrate: 5-7 PPM Phosphate: 0.12 PPM (working on it) SG: 1.0255 All trace elements (that I test for) are within range. If you need specific values, I can post those as well. Any help is appreciated. I've tried dosing peroxide, breaking down the tank, 100% WCs, increasing flow and aeration, and even adding more media for BB to grow on. No luck.

is there a UV sterilizer that fits in the back chambers of a IM 25G Lagoon?? or do i even need one?.

Anyone have experience with this HOB UV? I got one for 40 bucks, and its reviews were just as good as ones that were a lot more expensive. Was also thinking of putting some kind of bio media in it, like Xport or something. This will hopefully be setup with my Remora S skimmer. Both of which are ordered but not here yet. Just doing some homework! Thanks.
