Unknown Critter hiked his way into the DT
Azure Phoenix Reefing posted a topic in Identification Forum
Hello fellow reefers, here I am again, this time with an unknown critter that hiked it's way into the display tank. I figure it came with either the Leptastrea or Torch coral I recently added. My first guess would be it is a baby serpentstar of some kind, however I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Apologies for the quality and blue color. Again, it was almost light out when I first noticed it and I had to zoom in quite a bit to have it in view.- 3 replies

My friend purchased some live rock and got a surprising hitchhiker. It's a small 6" eel, definitely a moray. Dark brown with oblong white spots. Already eating mysis. The shop didn't have any listings for eels on any of the tanks. Does anyone have any idea of what it could be?

Hi, this is my first post and my first reef tank. Its been running for 3 weeks and all is good and well. I found some interesting critter living in my rock. I've been unable to identify ot on my own but maybe some wiser person might be able to help. What I know about it's behaviour: It looks like it hides by covering itself with a stoney looking plug. It has one long feeler that seems to just sway in the water column. Not much more. Thanks for your help!😁

Can I get an ID? Can't really tell in the video but it's eyes are lined yellow and it's back fin is lined with a neon-ish blue.
