    Brand new equipment FIRE SALE

Hello folks, I was planning on setting up a new reef tank with a Nuvo Fusion 20, so I bought all these equipment brand new a couple of months ago. Well, it turns out that I'm now relocating from Chicago to Boston with a job that requires frequent travel, and so will have to shelve my plans indefinitely. Here's a list of the equipment I bought -- all brand new, unused, in their original unpacked/sealed boxes. I currently live in Lakeview area, Chicago, and preference would be local pick up. Thanks. Nuvo Fusion 20 stand only (black, anodized aluminum construction), $195 (bought for $300) Nanobox Duo Plus M (black, 9" gooseneck), $280 (bought for $425) Icecap Smart RO/DI (4 stage, 100 gpd), $260 (bought for $400) Tunze Osmolator 3155 ATO, $130 (bought for $200) Trigger System 5 gal ATO reservoir (Crystal color), $65 (bought for $100) Sicce Synra 1.5 (358 gph), $45 (bought for $70) Two (2) Cobalt Neo-therm 75w, $40 each (bought for $63) IM ChaetoMax 2-in-1 Refugium LED 9w, $45 (bought for $70) Two (2) IM Spin Stream Flow Nozzles, $13 each (bought for $20) If someone can take all the above, I'll sell for $1,000 even, which is basically almost 50% off what I paid for them. Again, all brand new in their original unopened boxes. Thanks, Ben

    Sharbuckles NEW 40

Hello fine folks of the internet. Here I am yet again with ANOTHER build. I rashly decided to sell my 78g and 65g and upgrade to something 120g and up. I ended up buying a 150g blah blah blah long story short, I messed up. Rushed things, ended up tankless. After my fish sat in rubbermaid totes for about 3 months, something happened. I did a large water change and overnight ALL my fish died. This was a nightmare, I was distraught. I did realize the next day that my large Clarkii clownfish Big Mama survived. After debating on selling her for a while I decided to get her a home. That brings us to where we are now. A 40 gallon breeder. As some of you may now my last 40B won TOTM last October. I loved that tank and everything about it. That's how I landed back into a 40B. Things will be a bit different this time. I am taking my sweet sweet time setting it up and buying equipment that will last. Equipment List: Lighting: 2x Ecotech Radion XR30W Pro Flow: Sicce Syncra 3.0 Return and Ecotech MP10 Heater: 200w Jaeger Controller: Neptune Apex EL Skimmer: Nyos Quantum Overflow: Eshopps Eclipse Sump: Fiji Cube 24 or 26" ATO: Tunze Osmolator Rock/Sand: Caribsea LifeRock and Aragonite Livestock Plans: Other than Big Mama and her carpet anemone. I plan on stocking this tank solely with Montipora. No softies, no lps. ONLY Montipora. As far as fish go, I want a blue spot jawfish, something to sift the sand, and a bunch of damsels that can stand up to big mama. Ill attach some pictures today. I still have a lot of the equipment to buy. I plan on having water in the tank within the next 4-6 weeks. Happy Reefing, thanks for looking..

    Bay Area Nuvo 10

Hi all, and hi to the Nuvo 10 community! For the past year or so, I've been wanting a reef of my own, and I'm now addicted. I decided on the Innovative Marine Nuvo 10 for the compact size and transportability, given that I plan to take it to college eventually. As of the moment I am writing this, I currently have put the rock and sand into the tank, after cycling the rock for about 3 weeks in a 5-gallon bucket using Fritz Turbo Start. The sand is Fiji Pink, and the rocks are Walt Smith 2.1. I have the tank on the 10 gallon white JBJ Nano Cubey Stand, which looks really great with the tank. Equipment List IM Nuvo 10 Tank 10 Gallon White JBJ Nano Cubey Stand AI Hydra 26 HD (Modified AB+ Settings) Cobalt Neo-Therm 50 watt heater (best heater on the market) Sicce Syncra .5 Return Pump Vortech mp10wqd inTank Media Basket (Running inTank filter floss, 2 chemi pure blue nano packets, and 1 marinepure cube) Tunze Nano ATO (Not running a skimmer, I'm running 4 MarinePure cubes in the second chamber) Aquatic Life 100gpd RODI unit Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt (mixes extremely fast) Tank as of August 16, 2019. No light or ATO yet. Tank as of October 2, 2019. Hydra 26 with diffuser has been added. Snails, hermits, and goby have been introduced. No corals quite yet.

    Cass' Aquamaxx 22 Long

Inspired by two favorites from the Nano-Reef community, I have decided to start my own nano reef. I will be mixing an matching ideas from the magnificent tanks of both MrNanoReef and Scorched to make my own little reef while keeping track of the actual cost of building a (hopefully nice ) Nano Reef tank. Any advices that you veterans have for me would be very welcome! Now, lets dive into it.

    MP10 or Tunze 6055?

Would a mp10 or 6055 be better for a nuvo 20 mixed reef?

  13. Well I got the bug again. I’ve been browsing Craigslist for the last year or so looking for that perfect little nano reef with good equipment and some nice coral when I found this fluval AIO 25gal. It came with a Radion xr15 pro gen 3, tunze nano ATO, Tunze skimmer 9004 and some cheapo flow pumps which I promptly replaced with a Vortech mp10.   I picked the tank up about 9 months ago with the naive plan to keep it simple not get crazy with the SPS like my last tank. This lasted about a month or two and I slowly started adding some easier Montipora and a birds nest. Then I added a GHL SA doser 2.1 dosing pump and another flow pump and a couple Acropora. Then I came across a used JBJ 45 Rimless which I decided I had to have. I built a stand out of reclaimed cypress from an old New Orleans house that got demolished. The tank sits down in my basement office and helps to brighten a dark corner. My next project will be to remove the false wall and drill the back to accept an overflow so I can convert this from an AIO to a conventional reef with a sump and larger skimmer.  Thanks for looking!  This is how it looks now  My newest addition. Not sure if it has a name I believe itÂ’s a maricultured Acropora not sure what variety though. IÂ’m hoping it keeps coloring up with those blue and purple highlights.  My last reef was a 150gal AGE 60x30x20 Â
