Hey guys how’s it going! I just recently bought a fluval 13.5 nano tank and decided I should start a forum on it to track the progress. My tank is already cycled I’ve had it going for about 5 weeks now. Everything in the tank is stock still no upgrades I wanted to ask people what are some of the best upgrades to start with. I am running the fluval ps2 mini skimmer and I’ve had pretty good results. I did use the biochem QuickStart and that is why my tank has gone through it’s cycleing process in a short time. I also have live reef rock and arganite. I did wait some time before adding new inhabitants to avoid spikes in my tank parameters. Inhabitants: 2 green/blue reef chromis 1 lawnmower Blenny 3 snails (forgot what type they are) 2 nassarius snails 1 designer clownfish (bought him today) 1 cleaner shrimp Corals: 1 Xenia frag 1 eagle eye zoanthid frag

Hi, I'm noob reefer from korea. I'm not good at English... So please understand if I say something weird 🙂 I fell in love with Nemo after watching the movie 'Finding Nemo' 😍 I really wanted to raise a cute little Nemo 🐠 So I bought a small fishbowl. And little by little, I began to decorate it with the ocean I had imagined. I want to share this process with you guys. (These are photos of changes from August 12, 2020 to November 23, 2020) My little ocean has been changing little by little. And now it's look like the real ocean. Isn't it? 😄 Of course, it's still a lot lacking compared to other reefer's tank... 😢 So I'll keep trying hard and come back with a better look next time. Thanks for reading my long story. Have a good day 🙂

Danny Tran's Reef Adventures : IM Nuvo 30 Long Journal
dannyhaitran posted a topic in Nano Reef Journals
Hi Nano-Reef'ers, My name is Danny Tran and this will be the start of my reefing experience. My goal? To record every success and mistake and lessons learned through this forum. I'm located in Vancouver, BC Canada. A little about me, I'd been a freshwater aquarist for about 4 years, mainly focusing on aquascaping with easy to keep small fish. I've had marble angels, pleco of all types, tetras, and shrimp! I never thought that one day I would start a reef tank. My interest really started when I saw all these beautiful aquariums with amazing colourful corals and very few fish, feeding corals, growing up them, propragating them, it all was so fascinating. I also spent 2 hours reading this CRAZY incident of a bobbit worm taking over an entire aquarium and destroying everything in it's path, here is the link....http://www.michiganreefers.com/forums/advanced-topics/84173-bobbit-worm-chronicles.html So here we go.... I don't have anything in possession yet but I just wanted to begin with a Hello and get your best advice on getting started.
