Alright! after careful planning and research it now time to build my own 10 gallons AIO. This tank will be my testing ground to grow corals as I have been so hesitant to have corals previously within the 5 tanks that I have own which are now have been taken down. this tank will mainly house mostly Soft Corals and LPS and a few easy SPS. Custom Tank 16 x 12 x 12 Here is the rockscape that I made for the tank. I bought the rocks from The Aqua Culture, the most decent Reefing Store here in the Philippines!. I used Aquaforest StoneFix to bond the rocks together. It's like a cement though it dries quickly so you have to work on it fast, one more good thing about this product is that it doesn't contain harmful chemicals and doesn't leech out which means no need to cure!. One of the downsides I have seen on AIO tanks is that you can't see the sides of the back sump, So I asked the tank maker to make cut outs of the black sticker that will wrap the back sump so that the medias will be visible and to make it more easier to clean. One thing I have learn from my previous tanks is that 1. Plan everything ahead even future upgrades and 2. Make everything easier for you as Mike Paletta said "the easier it is for you to do, the more you will do it". Rio 600 for the return pump. I prefer a slightly powerful pump so that I won't be needing a wave maker which is an eyesore for a small thank like this. More to come! any recommendation for stocking list?

Hi! I'm setting up my first saltwater aquarium (after many years of fw planted tanks) and could use some advice on my rock scape. I like how it looks but I'm wondering if this is enough rock. Are there plenty of good spaces for a variety of corals? I still haven't done enough research on coral placement, so I'm wondering if the top part has too much vertical surface instead of horizontal? Is there enough rock for biological filtration? I'm guessing it's not even 5lbs, and I have at least 10lb more that I could break up and play with. I don't have specific stocking goals at the moment and am just trying to create a pretty balanced scene with rock surface, sand space, swim space, and enough clearance for easy glass cleaning while still being interesting visually. Thank you for the critiques!

Is there a collection of pictures of cool rockscapes for nano reefs somewhere? My tank is a 16G and with the cement, I hoped to create some really cool rockwork. After a number of delays, I have finally got around to ordering: 13 pounds of CaribSea Life Rock (dry rock inoculated with bacteria to be seeded with 5 pounds of live rock) Nyos Cement (Reefsafe rapid cement). Any particular rockwork shapes suggested or to avoid? Care to share pictures of your rockscapes?

I want to redo my rockscape because I believe I have too much rock and the rock shapes don't give me enough usable surface area. What is the best way to go about doing this. Tank has been running since July 2017. I plan on keeping some of the rock but not all.

Show me your rock work. Need opinions and inspiration for my own

I'm forcing myself to start enjoying my tank, I DO NOT like the rock scape in my tank plus i always struggle with coral placing. But I'm more needing help with aesthetics. I don't want my tank to look like I just threw everything in there. I want to take the rock out break that down and create an arch or round shape something like in attached photos. Do you think it's to late to do that??? i don't want to kill any anaerobic bacterias while the rock is out of it's tank. Any ideas or opinions???? Please share your pictures with rock work for inspiration the 1st pic of my current aqua scape. the rest of the pictures from google
