Does Shrimp Cleaning = Sick Fish?

Hi all, I have a cleaner shrimp in my 30 gallon tank that seems to have a voracious appetite. I’m very happy with the small skunk cleaner and how much he tries to clean my fish. But counterintuitively, this makes me worried about my fish. I know my tank has ich since I had an outbreak in the past, but all my fish currently look and act healthy. No spots or scratching on rocks or any other unusual behavior. My largest fish, a foxface rabbitfish has been getting a lot of attention from the shrimp. The rabbitfish was also hit hardest by the ich in the past. It’s a small tank and I guess it’s not easy to avoid the manic little shrimp (the rabbitfish is moving to a bigger home soon), but the rabbitfish often swims slowly past. The shrimp jumps on and starts to clean and the rabbitfish shakes him off shortly after. Not sure if the fish is asking for it or not. Either way, my real question boils down to this: If my cleaner shrimp is cleaning my fish a lot does it mean my fish is getting sick? Even if the fish shows no signs of infection? thanks in advance to any thoughts and advice!
  2. Reddit is once again useless (I'm being downvoted for asking a question) so I'm pasting my question here. I should really start doing that more often lol I was at my LFS today and asked them about pistol shrimp/goby pairs since I saw one (I believe it was a high-fin goby and a tiger pistol) there. They told me that tiger pistols stay small and paired the easiest with a goby whereas the candy cane/randall's pistol was not as easy to pair and stays even smaller. I wanted to ask you guys about the accuracy of that since I've been doing a lot of reading about which goby and shrimp would go best in my IM nuvo 10 that's arriving soon. Note: I would also like to keep sexy shrimp and hermits in the tank and I've read that the randall's is much more peaceful than the tiger

    Fluval 5 gallon stocking

I am hoping to get into the saltwater side of things in the near future after doing freshwater for quite a while. Unfortunately, I am limited to the small Fluval Evo 5 gallon for the foreseeable future, so I came here to try and make the most of it. I really have my heart set on a shrimp/goby pair and I would like to look into what else would be a good addition (shrimp, crabs, snails, corals?). Are there any modifications I should make to my tank before starting? What else should I know about a nano tank that isn't obvious? (parameter fluctuations, topping off) Thanks in advance! 🙂
  4. So my wife has decided she wants to get me a larger tank 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 I am leaning towards the red sea max e260 and was wondering how loud it is and if the stock protein skimmer is decent. My other option is the reefer 250 but I’m still deciding
  5. I was wondering if I could take off the plastic on the bottom of the Fluval evo 13.5. It’s kind of bothering me. It wouldn’t be hard to remove because it’s only held on by 6 silicone dabs, thanks!

    Is CADLights good?

I'm considering getting a CADLights versa 60g cube and I've heard varying opinions on their quality, does anyone have an answer?

    Prodibio

Hey there guys, just wondering if any of my fellow reefers have used any prodibio products and how they played out. I saw marinedepot.com has the nano pack of 30 doses of prodibio (1 row of 5 every 15 days I believe for all the 5 parts to be properly dosed ) . heres the link of you don’t know what I’m taking about: https://www.marinedepot.com/Prodibio_BIO_KIT_NANO_REEF_Saltwater_Aquarium_Additives_Supplements_Bacteria_Supplements-Prodibio-PD02737-FIADBS-vi.html Thanks for any of your exp!
  8. Hey all, So while I'm figuring out lighting, MarineDepot drops a bomb on the price of the AI Prime HDs for now only $200. And here I thought my mind was made up. Well, after some research again, now I'm debating. So I've come with a couple questions for those who have been around since LEDs have been the hot item. I'm trying to find a semi-concrete answer to what light is capable of maintaining an SPS tank. However it seems that a lot of the answers are either not clear or indifferent at best. And search results haven't been helpful either. So with that being said: My tank to be built is a standard 10 gallon AGA tank. Which is more reputable? The AI's or the Nanobox? Which is capable of maintaining an SPS tank of this size? (Standard 10 Gallon Tank) I assume both can be used as a refugium light with the proper focus in the proper spectrum? I'll be buying two of the ones I decide on to simplify running things. Thanks in advance for helping me learn more about LED tank lighting!
