Hey Guys, Curious what chemical media you guys use/recommend, and how do you use it? In the past, I have run only chemipure elite in pre-made bags. But thinking to add carbon, phosguard/purigne, and chemipure eventually. Is anyone making their own bags, or just buy pre-mix? - Pro/cons to each? Is anyone regenerating their media? Thinking I could make my own carbon bags at least. M

I'm setting up a canister reactor of Purigen and was unsure of whether I should allow it to be fluidized. I know that GFO should be allowed to tumble to improve it's exposure with water and that activated carbon needs to have less motion to keep it from grinding itself into fines but I can't find a solid answer for Purigen. It seems like it should be allowed to fluidize but I want to make sure.

So, I'm building three hang on the side reactors (GFO, Carbon, and Purigen) for the 29 gal AIO tank I'm building. I know that the GFO should be allowed to tumble and the carbon should have only a very slow motion so it doesn't grind itself into fines but I am having trouble finding info on the proper way to set up the Purigen reactor. Will the Purigen grind itself down or does it benefit from staying fluidized in the reactor?
