I am new to reef aquariums and am loving my fluval evo 13.5 thus far. However, I want to upgrade my filtration from the awful stock sponge. I ordered some egg crate and am planning on creating a diy version of the intank media basket available online. I was wondering, should this egg crate go in chamber 1 or 2 for best filtration? Do the sides of the basket need to be covered for proper filtration flow? Also, does anybody have pictures of a diy basket that they have made? Would be very helpful for building mine 🙏 Thank you!

Alright so here goes the ultimate adventure! Transfering my 15g tall to the new 20g Long I put together. Shout out to Cromag who cut the acrylic I needed for this project. 3 Years ago... 11/22/20 - Orphek 15,000k filter 2/28/21 - Dino’s again 3 months strong (literally the next week after the photo above I had yet another annual outbreak.

Hi everyone, I have an extra older inTank media basket that I am looking to sell. The media basket fits the Innovative Marine AIO line of tanks (has fit both my previous 10 gallon and current 25 lagoon). The basket is in good condition outside of a broken leg. I have since repaired the leg and you can hardly tell that it is there. Still functions as it should. Below are photos of the basket and the repair. Please let me know if you have any more questions or would like more photos. Asking $20+shipping. Thanks

Hey all I've had several freshwater tanks but im finally going to scratch my saltwater itch. I'm going to be running a Biocube 32 that I plan to upgrade with a tunze 9001 skimmer, Intank Media basket, and Hydor Evolution Pump 240. I was planning on using CaribSea Arag-Alive Pink Sand and mostly base rock with a few pounds of live. Any and all suggestions, recomendations, and advice on filtration media, heater, etc, etc im all ears. Thanks in advance for any help, super stoked to start this up.

Hey reefers!! I'm headed down the chaeto route and I'm looking for suggestions on an LED for healthy growing a Billiard size chaeto ball in a media basket on my all in one. I see the JBJ and IM options. Can I get away with less than $60 refugium light or are these the best options. Clearly these are just little fixtures with 4 leds, seeming like a 6500k intensity. I don't need it to come with a magnet as I'm just going to tape it to the outside of the aquarium. Are there any DIY battery powered "tap" lights or regular soft yellow leds that will keep the chaeto alive? It's hard to find a small enough one however I see this one on Amazon that seems like it would work but a reviewer said it wasn't helpful and killed off his chaeto. The space in the media basket is one approx. 4"x3" I'm thinking I won't need a specific intensity. Thoughts and suggestions welcome
