  1. I just noticed these a few months back. Have searched for pictures but have not found any. The closest resemblance is a tunicate. They are small approx. 1/8", jelly like, very invasive, spread like aptasia, close up when touched like an aptasia, soft jelly like, I find them on the underside of frag plugs and shaded areas of rock. I've used aptasia x to get rid of them
  2. I can't figure out what this is, I have never added this to my tank or heard of it.
  3. Hi, we’d greatly appreciate any help in identifying a skeleton we came across whilst walking along the beach. My 6 year old son hasn’t stopped talking about it. Thanks! 🙂 https://flic.kr/p/2jNCvrn

  6. They came on my live rock. Are they problematic? If not, how do I keep them alive? Are they going to die as my tank cycles? Thanks!!

Does anyone know what this is. It just showed up and it’s right after I was an idiot and didn’t dip a new coral. Should I be concerned?

    Help! What is this?

I have two of these in my tank. Unfortunetly, I was unable to upload a video I had taken but, I’ll try to explain it best I can. a dark mouth comes out of the white and casts a web. It looks like it “reels” in the web with its mouth. I’m assuming it does this to catch food in the water. The white seems to be just a shell. It never moves and seems like it’s the same size. Although, it was not there when I first got my live rock. Any ideas on what it could be?

    What coral is this???

Can you help me identify this coral? I was looking for a toadstool leather coral in hopes my clownfish would host on it when it became large enough. This is also my first coral, so I thought a TL would be good as a start. I went to my LFS and told them what I was looking for but the guy didn’t really seem sure this was a toadstool, then later on decided it was. I’m just trying to make sure I know what this coral is so if you have a pretty good idea feel free to leave a comment. Thanks in advance. Forgot to mention I got this yesterday so it might not be fully opened up, I also saw my emerald picking at it a couple of hours before taking the picture which made it shrink up.
  14. Can anyone tell me what this is ? I have had this frag for around a month and notice this white substance growing on it?? should I be worried ? I did use a coral dip
  15. Today I went to my local fish store and found a couple of corals. The employee told me this (In the picture) was a type of brain coral but when I got home I did some research and it looks more like a scoly coral. If anyone can identify this coral for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. (Got it for $40, did I get overcharged?)
