  1. I decided to finally purchase a bigger tank and pulled the trigger on a white Red Sea reefer 170 this morning. I decided to get it from saltwateraquarium.com since you can select a freebie. I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to transfer everything out of my evo to the new tank. I still need to purchase skimmer, return pump, heater, sand, and rock. Can anyone tell me what’s the best way to transfer my sand and rock to the new tank? I want to make sure everything is done correctly so I don’t kill anything and want to start planning already
  2. Need some options on of this looks safe mounted on my glass. I ended up buying a hydra26 today because apparently prime hd’s are sold out and aquaillumination is not shipping any to stores..... maybe they are working on upgrading the primes??? Well I ended up getting the hydra knowing it’s a bit much but hey I will be getting a new tank this year and it will carry over. My concern is if this mount is safely installed on the glass, it’s a heavy light and the gooseneck is also heavy. I just don’t know if it could break the glass from to much stress or if I’m just over worrying. Hope some one can chime in.
  3. Hi Guys, I am in the process of setting up a new 21g custom nano with an internal sump. The dimensions are 18X18X18 inches. The sump takes up 18L X 4W X 18H, so essentially about 6 gallons. I plan to have a Tunze 9001 or Skimz Nano Skimmer in the coming few months. I will also be building an external refugium. I am still undecided on the lights. When I planned this tank, I was sure I was going to buy AI Prime HD. Now, I'm leaning more towards AI Hydra 26 HD, since I want this to be a predominantly SPS tank. I will have a few Zoas and LPS too. I was thinking about 20% Zoas, 20% LPS (Acans, Blasto, Scolys, etc) & 60% SPS (half of which will be Acroporas). Do you guys think a single AI Prime would handle it? Or should I rather go for a Hydra 26 HD? TIA!
  4. Got a few pics of my tank running the hydra26 and also glued my new WWC frags on the rocks.
  5. Anyone have suggestions on hydra 26 settings over a fluval evo 13.5

    time to update lights

Fluvial EVO 12 gall about 4-5 months old tank, have some lps, zoas, and 1 frag of bird's nest and 1 frag of pocci. i use the stock light and i feel it's not enough at all. I don't see a grow at all plus the light doesn't bring any any coloration. planing to update lights LED. My budget is 250-300maximum i'm thinking about Ai prime HD, Kesill 160w or any other suggestions??? I would really love to have hydra but it's over my budget 350$ plus 70 for mount. Ai prime HD perfectly fits my budget, For kesill 160 you will have to bye controller which is additional 100$+ Do you have a good sps coral with Ai prime???? Do you have to have controller for kesil 160? Is there any other lightening suggestions within my budget ???
