AI settings - What do you all think? Calling all light experts!

Just curious as to what you experts think of my schedule. It's basically a mix of the EcoTech SPS and LPS schedules, but setup in a way to replicate the intensity of the sun over a 12 hour period.  Right now, I have a 12 hour total cycle, with blues and purples on a 4 hour ramp each side. The middle 4 hours kinda has it's own intensity peaking, to replicate noon. My red, green, and white are only on for 8 hours, and they peak as well at the same 'noon' time as the blues and purples. The first and last 2 hours before the white, red, and green come on is the best time to view since it's only uv, purple, and blues.  Lunar is from midnight to 5am, then there is a 6 hour total dark period for coral respiration and to keep algae in check.   Peak is 113 uv, 113 violet, 90 royal blue, 90 blue, 10 green, 10 red, 30 white.  Would it be beneficial to run the entire spectrum for the 12 hours?  Does the theory make sense?  Should I run lunar the entire time, or is it good to have the 6 hours of darkness?  Just let me know your thoughts, and if I'm on the right track, thanks.  -
Hey everyone! Been 2 weeks since I set up my tank, cycle is finished (nitrates are still around 20~) and everything is coming along nicely. I've added my clean up crew (10-13 small hermit crabs, and 2 nassarius snails) Before I add my first clown and some small zoa frags, I'd really like to know if anyone has some input or feedback for the ai prime light schedules they use. Here is the one I just created (taking into account that I'm working all day so I'd like to view my tank at night time more than during the day...) If anyone can tell me if I'm off to a good start, I'd really appreciate it, obviously I'll need to adjust as I see fit for the coral I decide to add eventually, but I do not want to bleach my corals either from the get go. Max output gets to 20 watts and I have my blues and purple as my drivers, white is on the lower end. (Lights go on at 1:30pm, ramp up until 9pm, and then ramp down and close at 12:30am (midnight, yes I sleep late) Thanks again guys, happy reefing!

Hey all, So while I'm figuring out lighting, MarineDepot drops a bomb on the price of the AI Prime HDs for now only $200. And here I thought my mind was made up. Well, after some research again, now I'm debating. So I've come with a couple questions for those who have been around since LEDs have been the hot item. I'm trying to find a semi-concrete answer to what light is capable of maintaining an SPS tank. However it seems that a lot of the answers are either not clear or indifferent at best. And search results haven't been helpful either. So with that being said: My tank to be built is a standard 10 gallon AGA tank. Which is more reputable? The AI's or the Nanobox? Which is capable of maintaining an SPS tank of this size? (Standard 10 Gallon Tank) I assume both can be used as a refugium light with the proper focus in the proper spectrum? I'll be buying two of the ones I decide on to simplify running things. Thanks in advance for helping me learn more about LED tank lighting!

so I got my 20gal (standard petco)long tank coming together. Still waiting for it to finish the cycle. I decided for lighting I would go with aqua illumination hydra 26 hd. And I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I have it on the 18" flexible arm. I have the light centered on the tank. I have it at the highest point. I have read about different heights etc and settings but it all become obscured and blurred with so many opninions for different size tanks that I don't own. So my question is what's a recommended height for the tank I have? Also what are some settings for the height? Because it matters for the settings and height .... As for the what what I want to grow.... zoas, GSP, torch, a Duncan and a few leather. Possibly a hammer. And way later in the future after the tank is solid a birds nest. I will have two clown fish in the tank along with a shrimp and 5 turbo snail. Of course cleanup first then spacing out the time of putting them in. I may add another fish in the future but for now 2 clown are fine thanks for any advice Protein skimmer not here yet but it will be soon
