Hey all, I'm setting up a 20 gal cube and one of the pieces of gear I have decided on is the Icecap 2k Gyre with wi-fi controller. I have had excellent customer service from Premium Aquatics and have talked to them about doing a group buy on the Icecap 2k Gyre. Fyi, I got my Marco rock from them and it was packaged like fragile glass...just excellent service! Anyway, after talking to Premium Aquatics, depending on the volume of interested parties, sounds like we could get between a 10-15% discount on the 2k gyre with wi-fi controller! If you would like to be in the group buy, please comment below so I can give them a head count. Deadline to get on the list is July 12th. Thanks, Sean https://premiumaquatics.com/products/icecap-2k-gyre-flow-pump-dual-wifi-controller.html

The CoralVue HYDROS WaveEngine officially launches at fine fish stores everywhere next Tuesday, November 12th! We also just launched a new website for the HYDROS brand. We would LOVE it if you could check the site out and dig into the support pages. Let us know your thoughts! https://www.coralvuehydros.com/ We already have pages built for the HYDROS Control 2 and Control 4 and they look great, so we'll get those live soon. But the focus for now is the WaveEngine! We put out a new WaveEngine video last Friday on our YouTube channel and Facebook. It is the first in a series (this is mostly an overview of the features & benefits), but we would be very appreciative if you watched it and left us a comment! Stores are starting to get their WaveEngines, too—check out this video Luke at @Premiumaq dropped on Saturday: If you're wondering if your pump is compatible with the WaveEngine, click here: https://www.coralvuehydros.com/is-my-pump-compatible/

I wanted to get your input on upgrading circulation in my biocube 32. It's been set up for ~ 14 months and I have been using stock return pump with ~500 gph coralia powerhead in top left corner pointing up and forward from early on (see pic below). Over time I have been adding a vatiety of sps corals to the top portion of the rocks. They have been growing, but I feel like polyps are being moved too gently by the current. I would like to give them more of a beating. On the other hand I don't want too much flow ripping at the hammer on the bottom left and the brain coral on the sand. So so do you think I should put an icecap 1k gyre along the top horizontally or get an mp10 for the right side of the tank? One thought I have against MP10 is that I like having unobstructed view of the tank from all 3 sides, but obviously can't have it all. Any other ideas? Or should I just leave it alone since the corals seem to be getting by and better is the enemy of good?

I'm looking to trade or sell an Icecap 1k Gyre, comes with all spare parts, I recently purchased it used from another local hobbyist (was about 6 months old) but after cleaning it off and testing it my tank just doesn't have the depth to really take advantage of this pump. I would love to trade for an aqamai KPS, otherwise I'm just looking for around $75.

I currently have a 28 gal JBJ nano cube, and am possibly looking to upgrade to a Red Sea Reefer 170 soon. I debated on the Reefer Nano, but want more room by the sump since that's where I store my stuff, and bigger wouldn't hurt haha. Anyways, I'm leaning more strongly for the 3k, but does anyone have experience with it in a tank of this size? In my JBJ, I'd have to mount it on the side horizontal, because vertical it will almost be in my sand bed. The 1k I think I could mount either way, but it seems for the way I want it to flow, the horizontal may just be better. I am currently running 2 Koralia Nano 525 and just can't get them setup worth a crap to give good flow all over the tank. Been battling cyano over a month now. As for the flow percentage, I've heard these are noisy, but running them at a low power 'should' cut down on noise, as well as help the longevity of the pump I'd imagine. Any thoughts on this?
