After some advice regarding my 110l reef. Tank has been set up a year now an houses 2 clowns and some cuc. Haven't added anything since March and have kept feeding the same amount. I'm running Berlin method with a Tunze 9001 and just recently I'm getting a dusty kind of algae growing on the glass much, much quicker than usual. It would hardly be noticeable after a week but now it's back within a day or so. The skimmer has also gone from being needed to be emptied 1x p/w to 2 or 3 times a week. The skimmer looks like its removing just water now even though I cleaned it on Sunday. Any ideas? Tia.

Hey! I am very curious about reef design, specifically the nano reef style. I have read a few books and would like to design my first tank given i cant have pets in my current apartment. I Figured I could start building my tank and subsequent materials without water or fish. I want an all in one tank, I Just have a few questions to start me off. 1. Is there a thumb-rule for filtration to water quantity? 2. Is a shelf tank rough for beginers? 3. I have allotted 4 chambers, all I know is the inlet, and the outlet...the other two I'm up in the air between Refugiums, Calcium RX, and Protein skimmers. Can you help me narrow them down? 4. Glass or acrylic? 5. is there a thumb-rule for tank thickness? Any input or information would help out greatly. Thanks.

I have had a Biocube 32 up and running for four days now, and just this morning I saw that the glass was covered with many small white dots. Looking closely some appear to have little legs or hairs coming out from the sides, though their size makes it difficult to tell with any real clarity. What might they be? copepods? Spirorbid worms? eggs of some kind? I know the picture is not that great, I might try to get another and post it as well.

Anyone know what these things are? I noticed several of them on my glass and the white oval one moves pretty fast. Should I be concerned?? After almost a year of running my tank seems like I’m seeing more tiny creatures that I have not noticed before. I saw a tiny worm thing swimming really fast when all the lights went out the other day, but haven’t seen it since. They other day I also saw two other things swimming on the surface of the water but I siphoned those out
