I have a fragged peice of elegance coral that has been doing great for a month, now it has mucus forming around the fragged side. Any idea's? Healing, sick... anyone see this before. Eats well seemed happy until now. Water parameters are in check. Thanks in advance.
Okay peoples! I have two torches and several small hammers that are rather shriveled or stringy. They also have been bloating some at different times during the day. The elegance coral is blown up like a blimp and then deflates to crumple in on itself. What’s changed? Got a new RedSea LED 90 light and since it bleached multiple SPS corals, I have it running at 10/15/25% and then back down in the same increment, total ramp up and down for 10 hours. Got a new ice cap gyre pump, the small one, and it’s set at 10% flow alternating pumps every 10 seconds. Water parameters have been stable. Water changes weekly of 10-12g. Can anyone tell me what’s making these corals act like this?
So I have this elegance coral, and I don't know if it's an aussie or indo. It had been doing fine for a few weeks, huge and expansive, but the past few days it'll puff up with shrunken tentacles, and then suck back in. It's been sucked in like this for about 2 days now (see pic) and there's a lot of a mucus-esque substance. Tank is relatively young, up and running for 3 months. Nitrate - 5-10 ppm Ph - 8.1-8.3 Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 LFS says my alkalinity is high, and my phosphates are high as well (seen by sludge on substrate) Any help, opinions, tips, suggestions are EXTREMELY welcome and needed! By high alk, he said i was at 15 and should shoot for 12
