To add or not to add...

Another small fish, that is my question 😁 I'm quite aware this question has been asked a thousand times, and I read through quite a few of these threads. However, I'd like to be sure about my individual aquarium, before going out and buying a gorgeous fish, that I should not have bought 😁 My 20g Waterbox is currently stocked with a pair of clowns, a Tailspot Blenny (which I adore really), a cleaner shrimp and of course an assorted CUC. The first couple of months I had some trouble with stabilizing the water conditions, however at the moment I notice more steady water conditions and after 6 months there is coralline algae developing pretty much all over the aquarium. Am I correct in assuming the tank is starting to stabilize and age? (I am seeing some pineapple sponges and other filter feeders as well) Now the clowns and blenny are active, but docile and don't bother each other, nor the shrimp. The cleaner shrimp is having a ball following every bit of movement from under his rock overhang. Because I enjoy watching the livestock and their daily business so much (more then I expected actually) I am wondering if it would be possible to add another small, peacefull fish. And if so, what kind of fish? I was thinking of either a Firefish (perhaps a purple one) or a Neon Blue Goby or another type of goby? What do you guys think, would it be wise to squeeze in another fish, or would it be too cramped up in a 20g? If you guys would advice against it, you're going to cost me, because I might start considering a bigger tank 😇
  2. So the other day I noticed my cleaner shrimp had one of his legs breaking-down and didn't think much of it. But lately he's been really slow around the tank and today he is missing all his back legs! 2 days ago my coco worm let go of a head so I'm getting kind of worried. What deficiencies could cause this? When the coco lost a head I figured it was just stress from changing to a new tank from the LFS. All I have in the tank is a purple firefish, emerald crab, the cleaner shrimp, and a coco worm.

Does Shrimp Cleaning = Sick Fish?

Hi all, I have a cleaner shrimp in my 30 gallon tank that seems to have a voracious appetite. I’m very happy with the small skunk cleaner and how much he tries to clean my fish. But counterintuitively, this makes me worried about my fish. I know my tank has ich since I had an outbreak in the past, but all my fish currently look and act healthy. No spots or scratching on rocks or any other unusual behavior. My largest fish, a foxface rabbitfish has been getting a lot of attention from the shrimp. The rabbitfish was also hit hardest by the ich in the past. It’s a small tank and I guess it’s not easy to avoid the manic little shrimp (the rabbitfish is moving to a bigger home soon), but the rabbitfish often swims slowly past. The shrimp jumps on and starts to clean and the rabbitfish shakes him off shortly after. Not sure if the fish is asking for it or not. Either way, my real question boils down to this: If my cleaner shrimp is cleaning my fish a lot does it mean my fish is getting sick? Even if the fish shows no signs of infection? thanks in advance to any thoughts and advice!

    Duncan eating cleaner shrimp.

No, this is not a shrimp eating my duncan situation. I came home from work today to find my duncan was eating the shrimp! I suppose I'm glad I saw it happen rather than fruitlessly trying to figure out where the shrimp had gone. I seriously doubt the duncan killed the little guy, but that coral won't be hungry anytime soon.

    Missing fish and inverts

Need some help here. So about 3 months ago I got a cleaner shrimp. Malted after 2 days and never seen again. Sucked but replaced with coral banned shrimp and is still here now. Next to go is about 3 large stormbus snail shell and all never to be seen again. Finally just now after coming home from work my 6 line wrasse is mia. Blasted all my rock work and now has come out. Blasted my sand and nothing. If it is a mantis how do catch it? If it isn’t what is going on. The six line wrasse missing is a bit said had so much character loved the little guy
