  1. i have 1 fluval marine on a 24 gallon aquatop. when i first got the tank i would randomly pick colors and and play around with the light settings allot for aesthetical purposes which i now realize was probably really bad for the anemone. it was extremely healthy when i got it but the tentacles have gotten much more sparse and shorter in the past 5 or so months ive had the tank. i did not feed it for a long time and it got kinda bleached out then i started giving it frozen brine shrimp but id melt the outside and put the chunk into the nem while it was still frozen which i imagine was really bad for it. for the past month ive been feeding it freeze dried krill pretty often and its only spat it out once. i had it on the same light settings as the store had it but i didnt like the color and switched to a program that has very little white light. the green in the tentacles and red/pink outside seems darker but it could just be the light. any way it looks like the parameter of his foot was peeling off yesterday so i did a 5 gallon water change. my salt is 1.025-26 ill update with other parameters tomorrow although i do get a fair amout of algae so i must have a good amount of phosphates and algae(but the tank also gets direct light from the window). the first pics are when i first got the tank, the blue light is at night in the past month or so, the picture with no light is tonight and its rather shrunken right now even though i know its hard to see. i will post a better current picture tomorrow. i plan on doing more regular water changes adding an algae scrubber and changing its diet to scallops and fish in very small pieces. any suggestions on a specific light program or just adjustments to mine would be greatly appreciated.
  2. i was out of town for 5 days and when i came back the return pump to my cube tank was pumping in bubbles and i was out of fresh ro so i added salt which as you can imagine through my salinity way off. everything has looked perfectly healthy except some little bumps that look similar to a small blister or sore on a human except its the same color as the rest of the anemone and polyps(like the soft coral). the bumps are on the trunks if the ployps and anemone and they dont look terrible either im just not sure they should be there. my salinity surpassed 40 and is down to around 34 now, tomorrow ill be able to get more ro from lfs and get it down to where it needs to be. everything is in hiding since its night but ill be posting pictures in the morning. could the salinity be causing these bumps? and what will too high of a salinity do?

    Red Carpet Clownfish Condo

Hello Everyone, just showing you guys my clownfish red carpet condo 😀. Nuvo cylinder acrylic aquarium, A160WE Kessil lighting. Carpet is red and about 16-17inches across. I have had the clowns since babies and have raised a few batches of their fry. Carpet also has a little what I call baby on the side but some people say it might not be lol Either way its still cool to me. Thanks for checking it out any questions just ask. Thanks.
  4. Finally this weekend I'll be picking up my new S. mertensii anemone! So stoked, been clearing out space in my aquarium for the little guy as it's only 3-4" right now. It's been in a hospital tank at a friends house being treated with antibiotics for about a week, and he has deemed it ready go. Will get pics soon!
