    Bluefish Controller: Login Failure

As the title states, when attempting to log into the Bluefish app (Samsung S8+/latest Android 7.0 updates installed) I receive an error noted in the attached image. - Bluefish app is up to date - attempted to uninstall/reinstall, no success - phone reboot, no success - unplugged/plugged in Nanobox Duo unit from power source, no success - attempted to "register new device" in Bluefish app, app freezes/is forced to close - shook the app and provided Bluefish with the error, awaiting response Has any one else ran into this issue before? All was working fine yesterday, no changes to the wifi settings in my home or on the device.

    Biocube 29 and Equipment

Selling my entire setup. Open to offers everything is shippable except the tank and stand. Everything is sold as is. And OBO Oceanic Biocube 29. Pretty good shape for an old tank. Hood has been modified with LEDs I purchased the tank years ago with this already done. So I can't remember exactly what is in there. I do know there are white, blue, exotic and moon lights all on separate channels. I controlled them using the bluefish controller. The exotic string stopped working. I assume this is a wiring issue but not sure. When I had this tank up I fixed wiring issues several times. Oceanic Biocube 29 - $250 pickup only Biocube 29 stand - $75 pickup only Biocube 29 intank media basket - $30 Bluefish LED controller w/ power supply - $100 Mj1200 - only a few months old - $10 Everything all together - $300 pickup only I will be listing some other stuff here shortly. Heater, pumps, etc.

    Dream Lighting Systems

My Dream Lighting I have created this new topic to get some input from the community on a lighting system that I wanted to buy and or create for my new dream tank. So I have two display tanks and a third coming soon. The reason for this is that my older XR15 pro Gen3 are starting to show wear and one of them is blinking bright once a day and then goes back to normal after a few minutes. I do have one as a backup to this one so once they both go then I plan on just using a T5 light for the frag/quarantine system as this is cheap and has a outstanding success. Bluefish Aquarium LED Controller So, with that said I need a new lighting system and was planning on using the following and would like some feedback on members who have experience with one or more of these items. Please keep in mind that this system will display in my living room, so I want something outstanding for look and function. First up I wanted to use the Bluefish Aquarium LED controller as it has some functions that I think would be cool to have and hopefully some great affects. 1). Real location simulation 2). Weather Simulation. 3). Realistic Thunderstorms. Works with both LED and T5. Has anyone had this controller and used any of the above features? Aquatic Life T5 dimmable unit. T5 are the industry standard and it seems like many tanks do well when having these installed. I noticed that many LED just do not seem to have the same look as these. Being since it is dimmable and has a 0-10v port for it dimmable ability I can attach it to either the Bluefish controller or the Apex. Either one can dim it, but I believe the additional features can be used with T5 and the LED together. Any thoughts? And third I was going to pair the other two items with another industry standard lighting system from Kessil. Here I would be limited to A360W-E Tuna Blue LED Aquarium Light (Wide Angle). Here I can attach it to the Bluefish controller and take advantage of all it features. Any thought? Apex Lunar Lights And finally, I was going to use the Apex Lunar Simulator Lunar LED Strings. This will give me the last affect I am looking for without using higher end lights to achieve the same thing. These can be replaced without much cost and will actually be hooked up to the Apex. My understanding is that the above items will simulate a reef as close as possible. Any thought or comments will be very helpful.
  4. Nanobox retrofit kit for sale. It has two heat sinks with three v3 arrays mounted in each, so a total of 6. I had it mounted in my 36” ati sunpower. I’m sure the heats could be cut down to fit a 24” fixture. Controlled by bluefish mini. Only ran for about 2 months at 50%. Asking $500 shipped
  5. Is anyone having a problem with the weather underground link in the Bluefush controller app? I cannot get any stations to report and the default location Fiji is not even updated. The date listed as last update was Nov. 2019. I have blinked- up again, no fix. I believe this might be an outdated link in the app. Please help
  6. Just got the Bluefish mini Gen2. What kind of connectors can I use to connect the output pins to the Meanwell LDDs? I have 3 LDDs to control. What are the connectors called and where can I buy them? Thanks in advance,
  7. Over the past few months I have had customers ask about options for those with bad WiFi, no WiFi or a different option for connecting a NanoBox unit. After testing this myself for months it has worked without a hitch. I run this on my personal office reef. There are a few disadvantages but for those who set and forget, this may be for you. How To : Turn personal hotspot on cell phone. Using a second device, connect the second device to the phones hotspot. Once connected open the Bluefish app. Start a new BlinkUp and connect to the hotspot WiFi - Make sure you are putting in the correct password. Once BlinkUp is completed, program your light to the desired settings. I would use the NanoBox presets. Close app and enjoy! Disadvantages to this : If power is lost, you will need to turn the hotspot Wifi on and allow the controller to sync back to network. If you need to adjust settings, you will need to turn the hotspot WiFi on and allow the controller to sync back to network. This is a great option for someone who has bad WiFi, corporate WiFi and no WiFi. Video to come! -Dave
