    Banasophia’s Evo V 🌀

Hi all, It’s funny how many of us are talking about our spouses/significant others as we figure out whether we’ll be doing this new Nano-Reef challenge. It really shows what an investment of time, money, and care this hobby can be. This past week I discovered that my hubs actually supports me in this hobby more than I knew. Because of him, I’m back, and joining in on the fun. Here’s what happened: Early last week the hubs informed me it’s not his place to tell me I can’t start a new tank; it’s up to me to decide 🤔 hmm could be a good sign When I had my little temper tantrum in the contest thread, it was the hubs that suggested I could apologize and come back 😊 hopeful to think people understand and give me a chance... we all have our issues Hubs even told me last night he liked my tank idea 🚦seems like a green light to me! 😁 So, of course, I took all this as the go ahead to move forward, and went to pick up the tank today! I’ll be doing a Fluval Evo V, 5 gallon tank, in my home office. Here’s my condiment shot. Honey for the humans, coral frenzy for the corals!

    Ultimate NUVO 10 | Aquascape

Hey guys, I’m new to the “nano reef forum” community but not new to nano reef keeping. Follow me and the progression of my Innovative Marine NUVO 10 build. My goal with this tank is to ultimately keep a thriving “sps and zoa” dominate tank “most likely” (more on that as time goes on). Last night I spent a couple hours aquascpaing my tank and here the end result. I fixed all the rock work together with some putty. Let me know what you think! I kept the aquascape “low” to allow the sps to grow upward and fill in the empty space beautifully. I also left a lot of empty space on the bare bottom to allow corals to fill it. Thank you you for tuning in! I’ll keep updating the tanks progress as time goes on! Tips and tricks are always helpful! Enjoy the rest of your day!
  5. Good morning! I've made a quick introduction video to my office pico tank. This little tank has quickly become my favorite. Only, because I don't get to see my home tank (28 gallon JBJ nanocube) as often! I'm starting this thread as a foundation for future updates and a place to request guidance/assistance. Thank you for stopping by! Here's the video: And here's some quick stats: Set up in middle of February 2017 Back in the hobby after getting out in 2009. Still learning, taking it slower, being patient, bigger budget to do this correctly Fluval Spec III, 2.6-gallon (freshwater) leaked, replaced by Imagitarium Pro 3.7 gallon in February 2018. Kessil A80 with controller - never used stock lighting - tried to use ABI Tuna Blue 12w Par38 bulb Rio Plus 180 (120 GPH) return pump – cut small holes in return line to promote circulation Cobalt Neo-Therm 25 watt, temp set to 78 InTank media basket – filter floss – poly filter pad – BioMax bio rings – ChemiPure Blue 6.5 oz Feed – Reef Roids, once a week – frozen brine shrimp, Monday, Wednesday and Friday Water changes – daily, heavy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, small amounts on Tuesday and Thursday 80% weekly changes No interaction on the weekend and holidays Use Aquarimate (on iOS) to track special incidents, livestock additions, parameters, and completed tasks Rarely test parameters (other than salinity)

    120L DIY Scalion's tank

Hello everyone, my name is Nicolas Marion, i'm from Montréal. So sorry if my english might sound off sometime  I decide to use nano-reef.com has main platform to put the history of my tank, i realy enjoy the community here and the website.  Background : I had a salt aquarium 12 years ago, i enjoy it, spend too much but boy i learn some lesson ! The reason i stop back then it was because of the heat and i couldn't control the heat correctly (Metal Halide) without spending huge amount of money for a chiller, i felt so guilty to lose fish/coral and i decide to stop. So life goes on, and recently i started back with aquarium, fresh water, i love it, plants, green, is my stuff, i felt like i didn't have anymore challenge and it was time go back with salt water. I read a lot before starting and i finaly decide my plans.  I will use this first message with current update of the aquarium.  I just bought my first coral couple hour ago, but i didn't do the aquascape wich for me is a very big deal, i think i need some help to figure out the best visual scape possible visible through 3 side. Also my real light will come tommorow (AI Prime HD), for now i use time to time my Kessil 360 WE Tuna sun from my freshwater.  Live stock : Macro Algea Red Gracilaria hayi Caulerpa Racemosa Caulerpa Mexicana Caulerpa Serrulata  Snails 2 Astraea tecta 2 Banded Trochus 5 Nassarius Shrimp 3 Sexy Shrimp (Thor amboinensis)  Fishs 2 Adult/Pair Amphiprion Ocellaris 1 Damsel Springer (Chrysiptera springeri)  Coral Clavularia sp.
